Norton would be my first choice ..... I happen to really like it and i trust it. If you set it right, its perfect. And if you have a lot of RAM and a large drive. If you have an older computer, it may be too crowded to use Norton efficiently.

My second choice would be AVG free version.... download from www.filehippo.com

When you remove Norton, there is a tool at symantec to remove all traces of it
Be sure you do that.


The one I hate the most is McAfee.

Those are just my personal preferences ... no particular expertise in them.
If you google reviews and comparisons of antivirus software you will find some good reviews on all them.

Yes I contract for Liveops and for Working Solutions.

Hi Abby, Thanks for the reply. It did help, I already have AVG free version and run it everyday along with windows defender.

I signed up for liveops last night, and will just wait and see if they can use me. Just want to make sure I have my computer in compliance.

Looked at Working Solutions but may wait.

Norton is the best! trust me I switched to Verizion and got a worms and couldn't get on.My computer is still down. MAKE FRIENDS WITH NORTON!

Hi Deanna,

Norton is the worst anti virus with Internet connection.It slows down the system as well as net speed.
I recommend you McAfee.It is the best anti virus I have used so far.it takes very less space as well as it protect your system from viruses effectively.It does not effect the speed also.

I am not saying this as I want to market McAfee.I dont have any connection with McAfee.I am just sharing my experience.
