I apply for a job with LiveOps however I haven't heard anything from them yet. Do you know how long do they really take to respond? There answer machine say 90 days. I really need to find a job sooner. I haven't make any money since March. The real estate business is very slow. Please advices, Thank you

I think it took me about a month or so after I first applied and then it was about 2-3 weeks after that when I got my logins to start work. I hope you hear from them real soon!

Does anyone have experience with Public Opinion Research, Inc? I applied and got a response that I was accepted, now just want to make sure it's legit!!! Thanks.

I actually work there too Michelle. It is a legit company. However, it is mainly for extra money every once in awhile. I worked last Nov then there wasn't any work until May. Finally, I think there's been a few days this month that work was available, but the phone surveys were so long that I didn't even try to do it. I just don't see me being able to keep anyone on the phone to answer 54 questions. I'm sure that some people can, but not me. Occasionally they have what is called Canvas questions and they are pretty easy to do. They consist of only 1-3 questions and they pay around $.50-$1.00 for each completed survey. I would work there all the time if they offered that kind of work everyday.

Thanks Susan, My objective is to get work with LiveOps or Arise, but while waiting for the acceptance process, am willing to take whatever for now. I appreciate the info. Thanks again, Michelle

Hello Susan,
Just curious which ones are your favorites and most flexiable?

Gosh, as for my favorite job - I'd have to put LO at the top of the list b/c I can make as much money as I want there! But, I do like my nonphone jobs too b/c they give me a change of pace. So, I guess I love them all!

Hi Susan! I'm trying to find out what kind of phone equipment/headset is best to use. Where to buy them.
Also, you had mentioned a while back that you're doing a course in medical transcription. Just wondering which course you're taking. I've been looking in to taking this course also and it seems there are SO many out there! It's hard to know which one to go with.
Have a great day.

Hi Londa! The two headsets I use weren't all that expensive at all and they both work really well. First, I have the one I use for LO is made by Voice Star and it plugs into my office phone. I bought it at Radio Shack for $29.95. Then I also have my USB headset I use for my job at Usertesting.com. It is made by Gigaware and I got it at Radio Shack for only $19.95. You really don't have to spend a fortune to find a good headset.
As for the MT program. I am going through US Career Institute. There are many out there to choose from but I chose this one b/c it was a little more affordable for me. I have heard that it's hard to find an online MT job after you graduate unless you have went to Career Step or Andrews, but I'm just hoping I will still be able to b/c I just couldn't afford either of those at the time.
Take Care, ~Susan~
