I never liked the idea of leaving my children with strangers so I love being there for them most of the time. Being my own boss is great since I get to choose my own hours and style. My main reason though for working at home is my family. I believe that no matter what we should put our family's first. Life is too short to be missing out on spending time with loved ones. If you don't try to find ways to make the time you never will because of the way things are. There will always be something that can hinder precious moments-we just can't let it.

I became a home business owner while working full-time a long time ago. I am not sure of my original reason for becoming one, but I have always worked full and part-time. A home business was a good part-time job because I could work from home instead of coming home at 9 or 10 at night. I joined Watkins in the early 90's and never looked back. It was a good pick since my mother used these products from the time I was a little girl. Now that I am retired, I work the business full-time and online only.

A home business is wonderful, but it is no picnic, it is hard work. And, I learned that just because I have a website, it was not a guarantee that "they will come." Still, I love every minute of being an HB owner. It allowed to me to feel comfortable about retiring from my 9 to 5.

These days, I am a freelance writer and a direct seller. It's a good life, sometimes a little more hectic than my old 9 to 5, but I would not give it up.

I worked 21 months as a telecommuting home agent and loved being at home working. The savings on gasoline, clothing far outweighs the cost of additional DSL or cable line. Basically, it is great to be your own boss (sort of). I only left on November 19th as my granddaughter was moving in with me and had some emergency needs as far as her health. All is better now and I am back needing to get another online home agent job. Hopefully soon as I need to help with family finances since my daughter just lost her job. Besides, I LOVE TO WORK!

For me the number reason that I love being a WAHM is because I can still homeschool my children. I don't have to worry about where they are or who they are with because they are home safe with me. I can give them the best of me and still earn a living. When my husband comes home from work I can spend time with him. We don't have the worry about being on opposite shifts as many working couples do. I can schedule my time as I see fit. I also love not having to commute to work. My laptop goes all over the house and that is the extent of my commute LOL. I love the freedom. If I want to go somewhere or do something I don't have to ask my boss and hope that they give me the day off. It's up to me.

The flexibility and potential!

I love the flexibility that working from home offers. I've worked in a vast array of "traditional" work environments, but none offer the flexibility that a home business offers. Another benefit is NO supervisor, usually less qualified for their position than I am (how many have been there?), telling me what to do and how to do it. It really saves on gas and wear/tear on the car, and the earning potential is almost limitless. Another perk that I personally find attractive is that I can explore other interests and turn them into income.

Yes....... ALL of the above!

I love all the Freedoms of working from home, including savings on gas, etc.

But, most of all.... my health limits me in many ways.
I am a brittle diabetic and now a breast cancer... hopefully, SURVIVOR!

The best part of home base business is the flexiblity and convience of setting my own hours. I do it to supplement my income. So it challegnes me to be organize and routine. I have a very busy life style with children that have extra curricular activities so it is hard to get a second job outside of home. Home base business is an ideal way for me to make that extra money, be it on the weekends , evenings, or even when I can squeeze in 30 mins. or more here or there...

Flexibilty and consistent income. I am moving to South Carolina next year and considering the cost of living, I need to have something coming in that can help me stay ahead of that states low wages. I live in California and the pay here is really high (depending on what you do). I like being able to have the freedom to do what I want when I want...vacations, flexibility in my purchases..etc.

I am my best advocate for everthing to do with me. I know when and what makes me most productive. I would like to cultivate that knowledge about myself and turn it into further success. Working for myself, in an At-Home setting can only nurture that growth.

What attracts me most about working from home is the freedom to work in my pj's if I chose to. But there are many other reason's. The other thing that I love is the flexibility of hours. I can chose to work as many or as little hours as I want.

My husband is retired and we live on a fixed income, so it is a blessing for me to be able to work at home and make a little extra cash to add to the kitty, so to speak.
