hello and of course i'm new here. just started the process with arise and live ops. i own a satellite tv and internet biz as well as a window tinting and window cleaning biz. phasing out of sat tv as the industry has become saturated and competition increasing. window tinting and cleaning strong in the summer for me but pretty seasonal. i hope arise or live ops will be a great opportunity to pick up the slack for me this winter while i'm at my shop watching tumble weeds and listening to crickets : ) any advice for me or info on what i can expect from these opportunities would be appreciated.

Hi!! My name is Raniesa, and I am REALLY interested in getting my home business off the ground. This is a dream that I have been nursing for about two years. I have done most of the leg work to get licensed and even set up my website, but I have yet to receive my first customer. I am HORRIBLE at marketing myself. I guess the hardest part for me is rejection. My business is in web design/business marketing-go figure. What I like to do is help small businesses and non-profits get themselves off the ground with an inexpensive starter website, concept development, logo designs, and other administrative duties that can easily get overlooked during start-up.

I recently moved to a new area due to my full time job with the military. Where I was before, I actually had a few small clients and I got good word of mouth advertising, but I am starting over again and don't know where to begin. I am hoping to get tips on how to deal with rejection and get over my nervousness so I can get to work. Glad to be here and looking forward to meet other great Home Business Professionals!!!

HELLO EVERYONE... I must say i was so surprized and excited by the wonderful welcome i recieved from this site. I am so happy to have found a place with so many people like me. I am a single mother, i have one son who is 8 years old. I currently work for Arise. I have been with them for 2years. They are a pretty good company to work with. They do have fees you have to pay to become a work at home agent. But so far it has been worth it. They are my sole income. I recently decided to invest in a new company that my mother just joined. They are networking marketing form with a new waterless car wash & polisher. I am thinking this is just taking off and has so much potiental. i live in florida and we have a water restriction here so may that is why its selling like hotcakes...LOL .. but im gonna run with it... But i am still open to any other business opportunties that anyone else may be working right now.
I am also and i have to say this...a big big fan of "the Secret". I think if you havent read it or seen the video you need to! So many good things have happened to me since i realized that i needed to be and think positively. I never thought i was a negative person... but i did realize i could be better.
oh...check out my website if you like... ultraluster.com/janie

Hello everyone. My name is Debbie and I am new to this site. I am a full-time phlebotomist trying to work part-time. I have applied with Westathome, LiveOps, Cloud10, Alpine Access, Arise and a few others I can't remember. Most of them want you to work a certain amount of hours which I am unable to do right now. I am waiting to hear back from WestAtHome and LiveOps. I applied several weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. I worked for LiveOps last year but didn't sign on for several weeks due to moving and had to reapply. Arise contacted me but they want to charge a 25.00 fee for training and you also have to have a corporation to work for them. I don't want to have to put out hundreds of dollars to work at home right now. I have been told that the ones that want you to put money up front aren't legit. Any thoughts or helpful advise? Anything is much appreciated.
Debbie

I work for Liveops. There was a small fee for background and credit checks but that was it. I love Liveops. I can supplement my income very nicely. You must log in and work at least once every 42 days or you will be deactivated. I have a friend who works for Arise. You do have to get incoporated for tax purposes. She spent a lot of $$$ to get the tax id # and i think you have to file your taxes quarterly. Liveops is no problem just log in do you job and get direct deposit. No ?'s asked. Hope they call you. If your stat's are good your call volume will be boomin!!! Also this is our peak season and (er'body in the club gettin tips) lol. Good luck with whichever you chose you 've gotten this far so I know you'll be successful.

hi Debbie. welcome. Many of the work at home companies do have fees associated. Many are for the use of their site, training for the clients, and the software you have to download and use on a daily basis. I have worked for Arise for 2yrs now. they are my main source of income but not the only one. I have heard people say that Liveops and west are also good companies..but i cannot verify that. I have a friend who works for Convergys i do not think they have any fees.

Hi Kathy,
I have also applied to many online company's. Arise wants you to pay for becoming certified. It started out being 95.00 and now it is 25.00. They also want you to become incorporated, I guess for tax purposes. I just didn't want to put out the money and not have the work. Some of the other places don't use Vista which is what I have on my computer instead of Windows XP or 2000. I am waiting to hear from Westathome and LiveOps. I worked for LiveOps before and liked it but got deactivated because I didn't sign on for several weeks while moving. Good luck to you. Let me know how it goes.

hi Kathy. You have to incorporate because you are not an employee. You are an independent contractor. it is done thru your state website not Arise. You pay arise $50-100 for the training class to use their website, download software, get technicall support 24/7 etc. I think it has been worth it for me. Then you have to pay for the training class for the client u choose to work for. I work for roadside assist. the class was $190.00. I have worked for some retail clients their trainings run $50-$200. Now, i work for the one client roadside and i make between $1800-2500 a month. The first month i started i made about $700. Within the following month i was up to $1500 and so forth. So i guess its up to you if you want to invest in your company. I know there are some other wah that dont chrg fees but i dont think they pay out as much. Hope that helps!
