I am new also, I go by Mik. I am in Spring, Texas and I have 5 children. My company recenty had a layoff of 700 employees, leaving us to scrounge for jobs in a poor economic system currently. This is the biggest change of mine and my childrens life as we struggle to keep the things we have.

I applied for WestAtHome on 12/10/2008. I received an offer of employment on 12/11/2008. I am working on getting my paperwork notarized and sent in before the 3 days. So far they have been the fastest to get a reply back from.

There is also Liveops, VIPDesk, Cloud10, WorkingSolutions, Alpine Access, and Arise - I applied for all of these too on 12/10/2008 and nothing yet - but I am sure something will bite. GOOD LUCK LADIES!

My name is Yusef Pogue and I am a graduate student in North Carolina. I am currently looking for work-at-home opportunity that will allow me to have the flexibility of working around my schedule. I am majoring in Computer Science. Even though I am open to any work-at-home opportunity, I would specifically like to take advantage of a work-at-home opportunity dealing with tech support. Hi, I'm Diane and I'm trying to find a company that allows you to hired before you take on the expense of installing a dedicated phone line and buying a headset. Many of the ones I've looked at sound great and were recommended by Tori Johnson on GMA, but they want you to invest in equipment and an extra line before you know if you have the job. Any suggestions?

Although there might be some that will hire you before you have things in place, installation and/or shipping dates are not controlled by you. If it were your company taking calls, wouldn't you want to know that your applicants were serious about doing customer service work and choose someone that was willing to show a commitment and already had the necessities in place? ;)

This headset's pretty good without spending a fortune. Shop around and see what's comfortable for you, then check out consumer reviews. Good luck!
