I my name is Heather and I too am on Disability and understand what is to be financially strapped! I also have a daughter who is almost nine that I am supporting.

I have found several websites that I am trying. I am either in the beginning phase or have progressed to the second phase, but I didn't think it would hurt you to try them.

The first one is Liveops.com. I first found out about them through Good Morning America. My father and I have checked them through and through. There is a several step application process in the beginning and if you are invited to proceed they will ask you for a $50 fee for a background and credit check. That is a normal fee and truthfully that is a fair price. My father who has been in his present position said they pay more than that to check an employee "out"

Another option for you is to go to "Real Work at Home Jobs" by Susan Steele. I think it's under groups, but I'm not sure. There she has a list of website that you can link onto to see if they have jobs that fit "you". I have applied for several and am waiting replies back. I'm not sure of the turn a round, but right now I'm not pushing it. I don't want to take on more than I can handle. I want to see where Live ops takes and I'm going to be moving in the next couple of weeks. I can tell you I have referred a couple of friends to her "website" and they are actively pursuing jobs, so it might be worth a look.

Hope things look up for you!

Heather

sorry I left out that my father has been in his present position for 19 years. Sometimes my mind goes faster than my hands.

Hi Everyone

Working in the UK at the moment is begining to become difficult for small businesses because they believe that with big companies folding or shrinking it is inevitable that they will too.

I don't subscribe to that theory, with good financial controls and strong decision making it is the time to go on your own build a strong foundation because if it works when everything is in recession you can build something robust enough for global trading.

By nature I work with a large number of not for profits, offering advice, support and income generating schemes (that is where I make my money) so if you are looking for a different perspective on business and market share I am happy to talk

Hi my name is Kelly and I am new to WorkSpace and am looking forward to some great interaction. I have been working from home for most of the past 14 years first with our family construction company office and more recently with a small company which teaches business management. I have applied with LiveOps and see in msgs some of the other companies who appear to be similar. Please feel free to give me your own personal experiences and yes, both your agony and ecstasy experiences with each. I see these seem to be some: VIPDesk, Alpine Access, West, Arise, eLance . . . any more I can look into? Pros and Cons, anyone? I am looking for a company to stay with and would like the good, the bad and the ugly as I am looking and checking them out. I would prefer not to spend money with each to find out there is either a lack of integrity, not enough work, or any other reason good customer service experienced people have not stayed on with them. I would also, of course, like to hear the good and great stuff. Thank you all so much! I look forward to getting to know you all.
