I just passed my ACP101 class, they sent me this e-mail and I am SOOOO CONFUSED! Can someone tell me what to do, where to go, what I am looking for? I am just so lost, and I want to make sure I am filling the right things out, and doing the right things. I live in GA if that helps anyone tell me what to do. If at all possible I want the cheapest way to do this cause I do NOT have much money. THANK YOU!!!

Congratulations! You have successfully complete ACP101. You are now certified as an Arise Certified Professional.
You may now continue in the path to becoming an employee of a pre-existing Virtual Services Corporation (VSC) or an employee of your own VSC.
Arise will only subcontract with INCORPORATED entities. Arise will not contract with sole proprietors for client contact activities. An active corporation will have a valid Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) that is submitted to Arise when you enter your corporation's information.
Arise is not able to assist you with your incorporation process. However, the resources below are available to help you find out what incorporating is all about and what method is right for you.

You need to set up a business. I set up an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation). You need to check with the state of GA as to what they require. I spent $850 to set up my business. Now that I have paid that off, I'm making clear money. This took almost two paychecks. This is well worth the investment and the clients that are offered are top scale companies. You need to get your business set up within 30 days(I think) or you need to go through ACP101 again. I'm in VA, but here is some info I found on GA State Corporation Commission, http://www.georgia.gov/00/channel_title/0,2094,4802_5033,00.html

I hope this helps.

Hi Darlin, I keep hearing a lot of people are setting up LLC. I am not sure if this is the best way to go. You may want to consult an accountant in your state. Tell him you need to be incorporated to work as a virtual office and which should you sign up as? It only cost me $87.00 to incorporate in the state of florida. My best friend also works for Arise. and i know she paid less than $100 also. Someone had previously suggested to me before i started with Arise 2 yrs a go not to be an LLC because of tax implications later...but i could be wrong. i am gonna send my accountant an email as a matter of fact and see if he has any suggestions.

I am not working for them now because I make just as much working for LO with the outbound and DR as well as some special projects. I did not set up an LLC. I set up a corporation and did not pay more than $200 for the entire process. I have to file a corporate tax return as well as a State of Florida return. I am thinking about changing my business to a sole propriertorship becuse when I file my tax return, I do not show any "earned income". For tax purposes, corporate funds are not considered earned income.
