Hi Audriel,

This is the answer I received from Arise:

If the application serviced was a seasonal application and the SOW ended because the season ended, your VSC will have the opportunity to express interest in the course when offered in the future. In this case there is a fee for the course.
If the VSC is servicing an application and is offered a replacement SOW when the original SOW expires, the VSC has the option to accept the new SOW and continue servicing the application. In this case there is no additional course or fee required.

That's a good question Gloria. I just received a SOW for JTV and it expires at the end of the month! I am fit to be tied. I'm wondering now if all of this is worth it. I started with Arise in Nov and this is my first client. I really don't want to keep shelling out money for training if all the oppurtunities will be like this. Work on month and then that's it?!

Additional Question - Once an SOW ends, if the client has an opportunity in the future, does the VSC that serviced the client before have to reapply (i.e. express interest and pay the registration fee again)?

Hello All,

I actually joined on in December and I just picked up my first client (AAA South). However, I was turned down by a few before I picked up this client. My question to anyone who has experience dealing with Arise - do you really have to downgrade if you have Vista? I purchased a new computer with XP and I wanted to assure before I set it up if you really have to downgrade. I know some companies say that you can't use Vista, however, Vista ends up being compatible with their software. Thanks :)

I have wasted a lot of money on this. You have to pay for the background check, then you have to pay for the training! I thought that was crazy because they should be paying ME for the training. It was $99 for the training. If that is not bad enough THEN you have to pay for training with a client you pick to work for if there is even ANY available. It is crazy!! I would say save your money and find something else. Why should we have to pay THEM all this money to have us work for them? I also had to spend EXTRA money and downgrade my internet cause I had vista!!
