Great and no problem! Good luck with the tests, if you watch the video closely and listen to what she's saying, you'll have all the answers to the test right afterward.

Thanks Amy for the quick reply and the information. I forgive you for misspelling my name. Do I need a personal invite from an active member?

I apologize, Dean! I spelled your name incorrectly..

Hi Dan,
Yes! ChaCha is very much still in business. And you're inquiring at the right time! They started hiring Guides again (temporarily)
ChaCha is the first human-based search engine. What you do as a Guide/Specialist is answer incoming text messages through your Guide Console (so you don't have to have a cell phone to do this). You can work as much as you would like (which is great if you're doing it for some extra money, or for a full time income) You get paid per message you answer (anywhere between 10-22 cents per question, depending on the category) To apply, you can go to ChaCha and scroll all the way at the bottom of the page, click on "Become a ChaCha Guide" Good luck! :)

Hi Everyone, I've been reading the comments about chacha and was wondering what it's all about and if it's still in business. I would appreciate any information and how to apply for a position.

thanks,
Dean

Yes Amy, Top Guide bonus pay is now gone. All queries are now each paid at a rate of pay assigned to that particular category. For example, queries in the Mass Transit category are paid at .22, math questions are paid at .20. There is only one .22 category, and 3 or 4 categories paid at .20. Other categories are paid at anywhere from .10 up to that.

The end result is that guides that previously didn't reach top guide status either due to insufficient quality scores or not doing the 200 Qs per week minimum, are now making slightly more $ on average, while those that did maintain Top Guide status are making significantly less.

As you can imagine, these changes have resulted in quite an uproar, and many guides see it as unfair, since the big losers seem to be the Top Guides.

Many have said their goodbyes over it, and most of the Top Guides that remain are horribly disappointed.

Check out the knowledgebase for information regarding the new rates of pay for
each category.
