Hi everyone,

I just completed the LiveOps paperwork and paid for the background/credit check.
Can anyone tell me how they like working for LiveOps? What are the calls like? How difficult is it to upsell? What are the customers like?

Sorry for all the questions! Just excited and curious how it's working for all of you.

Thanks,
Brooke

Hi Brooke! I know there are many people who have had tremendous amounts of succes wth liveops, but I am not one of them. I found the upsells very pushy, and the customers extremly hateful. Maybe it was just a "wrong place at the wrong time kind of thing", I am not sure. Some of the scripts are not bad, but there are others that are HORRIBLE. I have had customers scream and yell at me and even threaten me becuase I was reading so many "upsells, and affinity offers". I also had problems, because many of the callers were elderly and didnt understand the upsells and affinity offers, but you are REQUIRED to read it, even if they are confused and say yes, not fully understanding what you are signing them up for (Ex..Magazine subscriptions, Monthly charges for supplements or "Clubs") . I felt extremly guitly and got a compliance event (kinda like being written up) becuase I further explained an offer to someone who was elderly and they then declined after clarification......Liveops is a very secure business financially. You will always get your check on time, and they do offer a lot of opportunities for training and many different conference calls throughout any given day. As I stated before, there are a lot of people who have great success with liveops and love it. I could average around 12 dollars an hour, but I feel they way they conduct business is similar to predatory lending, and does not have the customers best interest at heart. That is something that I cannot believe in.....Good Luck!

We all were curious. I love it, all u are doing is reading from a green screen , upsells are not difficult just don't take the rejection too heart just do your rebuttals , there are different types I have more older people so I have gotten a notice for being on the call too long, but only one and I have been with the company since Jan. I love the extra money. Only is I can't work as much bc I have a young child so if u at home by urself u could make some real money most of the time I can get at least 10 bucks a hour.

i work overnight but even if im not doing anything ill get on and just take calls thats how i make at least 100 dollars a day the people who are not really working they are not going to make any more. this job is what you put into it. its easy as 123 and all these people with the negative comments it has to be something they are doing wrong because i havent had not one problem or issue. With any job you are going to have to follow some type of rules and with no supervison what else can you ask for, some people just dont recongize a blessing when they have one.

Hi Marshae,

Do you use all the rebuttals? I've heard some say that they do use them sometimes but other times they just click "no" and move on in the script.
I'm going to review the learning module and rules to find out, but would really like to know what you do.

Thanks so much for your info!! :)

It depends on the situation. I dont do it all the time but i do sometimes. Like you know on the free money script if they say no to the free debt cures, before i hit no i would use the rebuttal button. If they still say no and they dont want to pay shipping and handling I just go right into the next script. Cant think of one where i dont use the rebuttal but no I dont use it all the time they say no. Thats just me though so ask around.

I used to work for a major cable shopping network. I don't think this is any different. There is nothing deceptive about processing orders. Customers are calling in for what they want so Im comfortable with this. I know for many people the idea of upselling makes them uncomfortable but customers always have a right to say no. There are no hidden terms or 'sneaky' sales tactics so I'm fine with offering it.

But to answer your other questions (this is just my impression of course), I like working for LiveOps. I'm brand new (about 3 weeks) but I love the flexibility of working from home. I have a day job but it's nice to be able to do this in the evenings and weekends.

Customers vary but the best way to prepare for that is to think about your expectations (as a customer) when you call in to order or request info from a company. You pretty much assume the rep on the other end of the line knows what they're talking about and you wait until they ask questions of you. I assume most people aren't judging the reps while they're trying to get an order processed- they're just thinking about what they're ordering. So I keep that in mind when I'm working and I realize this person has no idea whether I've been on for 3 weeks or 3 years.

Good Luck!

I've been with LiveOps since Jan09. I average 15 hrs/week on weekends. I've been averaging $15-17/hr. If you put the time in you can make real money at this. Remember you get out of this what you put into this

Good Luck

How long did it take for them to set up your account after you finished all of your paperwork and background check?
