Hi everyone,

I just completed the LiveOps paperwork and paid for the background/credit check.
Can anyone tell me how they like working for LiveOps? What are the calls like? How difficult is it to upsell? What are the customers like?

Sorry for all the questions! Just excited and curious how it's working for all of you.

Thanks,
Brooke

We all were curious. I love it, all u are doing is reading from a green screen , upsells are not difficult just don't take the rejection too heart just do your rebuttals , there are different types I have more older people so I have gotten a notice for being on the call too long, but only one and I have been with the company since Jan. I love the extra money. Only is I can't work as much bc I have a young child so if u at home by urself u could make some real money most of the time I can get at least 10 bucks a hour.

i work overnight but even if im not doing anything ill get on and just take calls thats how i make at least 100 dollars a day the people who are not really working they are not going to make any more. this job is what you put into it. its easy as 123 and all these people with the negative comments it has to be something they are doing wrong because i havent had not one problem or issue. With any job you are going to have to follow some type of rules and with no supervison what else can you ask for, some people just dont recongize a blessing when they have one.

Hi Marshae,

Do you use all the rebuttals? I've heard some say that they do use them sometimes but other times they just click "no" and move on in the script.
I'm going to review the learning module and rules to find out, but would really like to know what you do.

Thanks so much for your info!! :)

It depends on the situation. I dont do it all the time but i do sometimes. Like you know on the free money script if they say no to the free debt cures, before i hit no i would use the rebuttal button. If they still say no and they dont want to pay shipping and handling I just go right into the next script. Cant think of one where i dont use the rebuttal but no I dont use it all the time they say no. Thats just me though so ask around.

Are you able to work unlimited hours with the dr skill?

Well, that's easier to ask than to answer. Haha!

You can log in anytime uncommitted but calls will go to the committed agents first. You will only get overflow. If call volume (CV) is low, though, you might not get any calls but if you're a seasoned agent and have taken calls previously for the calls that are coming in at that time, you're more likely to get those calls even without waiting for overflow...at least, that's what it seems like. I sure hope that made sense.

You see, even though there are infomercials and commercials going on 24/7, there are other factors to take into account. Your Commit Performance (CP, based on how you are at showing up on time and working your commits a.k.a. time slots you've signed up for) is critical to CV, especially if it gets below 90%. Also, your scores for selling affinities will influence certain types of calls. If they have affinities in their script, they want agents with good affinity sales scores.

One more thing I'll comment on...each time a new schedule rolls out, you are only given 15 commits allotted. They are 1/2 hour commits so you can only schedule 7 1/2 hours work at a time UNLESS you choose those that say "FREE" on them. You can add all of those that you want. DR rollouts happen on Thursdays and Fridays at various times, morning, afternoon and evening.

Oh...I should add that the best time to work uncommitted, so that you have the best chance of high call volume, is on the weekends. I've heard middle of the night is good, too. I have opted out of "Adult" calls and I don't know if it would still be busy during the middle of the night without those. I'm clueless about that but I'm pretty sure there are TONS of infomercials going on at night so I'd guess it'd still be good CV.

Have you been hired, leslie?

Oh, good! Be sure to go into the forums. There are tons of threads of help there and of course, you can always ask one of your own.

I used to work for a major cable shopping network. I don't think this is any different. There is nothing deceptive about processing orders. Customers are calling in for what they want so Im comfortable with this. I know for many people the idea of upselling makes them uncomfortable but customers always have a right to say no. There are no hidden terms or 'sneaky' sales tactics so I'm fine with offering it.

But to answer your other questions (this is just my impression of course), I like working for LiveOps. I'm brand new (about 3 weeks) but I love the flexibility of working from home. I have a day job but it's nice to be able to do this in the evenings and weekends.

Customers vary but the best way to prepare for that is to think about your expectations (as a customer) when you call in to order or request info from a company. You pretty much assume the rep on the other end of the line knows what they're talking about and you wait until they ask questions of you. I assume most people aren't judging the reps while they're trying to get an order processed- they're just thinking about what they're ordering. So I keep that in mind when I'm working and I realize this person has no idea whether I've been on for 3 weeks or 3 years.

Good Luck!
