GREETINGS, GLAD TO SEE YOU'RE A MEMBER OF WORKSPACE

How are you doing today?? I'm doing great.

I am currently looking to expand my network of contacts and friends and I would like to invite you to be a part of my network. I would be honored if you would accept my invitation.

Please stop by my profile (here), so you can learn more about me and what I do online, and add me as a friend if we aren't already.

I would also appreciate it if you could leave me a comment and let me know you stopped by.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely, John Elley

Welcome to the network! I am in the business of helping others. Feel free to view my page to learn more.

Profile Information

About me
I am a married father of 5, with 4 grandchildren, 2 stepchildren, and 3 step-grandchildren. (10 out of 14 of this number are girls! {leave that toilet seat DOWN boys!})

I have 11 financial licenses, been in the business of financial services for over 19 years, worked for such behemoths as GE, Dean Witter, Allstate, Farmers, ING, AIG, Washington Mutual, etc. etc.; but have been downsized 7 times in 8 years! (bigger isn't always better!)

I'm always open to new experiences! Well, besides the above, I was a Truck Driver and Driver Manager of 104, an owner and CEO of a wholesale seafood company that received a full page write-up in the New York Times, a Logger, and a Sioux Chef! (I personally cooked Stuart Anderson's dinner in 1977!)

I believe everything in your life was created by you. If I have money troubles or if I am wealthy, I've set the chain of events in motion somewhere in the past. The "Butterfly Effect" movie describes it personally, but it is (a heavy) "R" rating, so I'm not going to recommend it! But it shows, sometimes an entire lifetime of events can be traced to one decisive decision in the past. Sometimes you can undo the effect, even after many years. Sometimes you must take desperate measures to begin a new "lifetime of events".
I have things I've always wanted to accomplish, but hey, who can manage their time so well to do it all?! I'd like to write a book, act in a commercial and/or animated voice-over, become an "Efficiency Consultant" to businesses on contract, professionally speak for ridiculous fees, open a bicycle shop and a Dairy Queen, make money bowling, (redundancy is a gift!) learn how to cut hair, and do it all along with my current profession, when and how I choose - even if all at the same time!

All in all, I'm very easygoing - that comes with age and the massive life experience I've enjoyed. (test me if you don't believe this! ha!) I survived Cancer 6 days before my only son was born. (had one of Lance Armstrong's surgeons - the oldest one, who retired after operating on me because he had bad eyes, who snipped some nerves and made part of my leg and abdomen numb permanently--- but I'm still alive!!)I'm still aggressive, competitive, compassionate, tenacious, enthusiastic, and positive, positive, and positive! My favorite book is "The Secret!" (need I say more?!)

I love country music and rodeos, and I can out-romance any man! But, my background is Metallica and a raucous lifestyle in the early '70s.

And, last but not least, I married my Junior High School sweetheart 2 years ago (found her on "Classmates" after 32 years!) after my first wife of 21 years chose someone half her age, and my second wife could have been the star herself in a Jekyll and Hyde movie!

I have stories and experiences that go on forever, (that I'd like to put in that book I was talking about!) All in all however, if I can "design" my next 20 years, it will be much different than anything I've experience in the past! But, that's an untold story still waiting to unfold!

Hobbies
I like outdoor activities like camping, fishing and hiking, and don't mind driving a small car up a mountain on a deserted logging road, just to see where it will end! I also like bowling, and know I could make money at it if I was on tour; but don't think my shoulder can take much of that these days!

Stability and Financial Freedom!
