As I paid for my purchases at a store the other day, the checker thanked me and told me to have a nice day. Pretty usual stuff. But it suddenly struck me that the checker had - at a very fundamental level - made the choice to actively create something positive in an ordinary moment that he had some control over. And that's when I began to notice an active web of incredible kindness working to be born into existence every day, everywhere -- just from ordinary work-a-day interactions.
