About me

I am a single mom of an almost 9 yr old. My oldest daughter just got married in June and is now battling cervical cancer. She had her first chemo treatment on Oct 1 and we are waiting to see if she needs more. I am also on Disability but I can drive and do things for myself and my daughter. I am waiting to see if LiveOps has a place for me. I am actively seeking a work at home so I can still be available for my young daughter and my oldest who has cancer. I am 38 years young and am doing everything I can to feel young! I don't have a lot of friends because no one can really relate to me because I am a mother of an older child and here in this school district the "cliques" are already set and it seems to be you don't fit in unless you have money, which leaves me out. I am planning on moving in the next month or so to be closer to my parents and my daughter and son in law. I am planning on moving to the Oakmont or surrounding areas.

Hometown

I guess that would have to be Bethel Park. We moved around a lot and I spent the most time there. I graduated from Bethel Park High School

Hobbies

I am avid cook. I do it to relax and for fun. Some people jog, I cook. Neither of my kids have ever had a tv dinner or something out of a can. I believe home cooking is not only healthier but it also creates good memories. My daughter who is going through Chemo,(nothing tastes good too her), the one thing she wants is Mom's homemade chicken soup. That makes me feel sooo good.

I also love my gardens. I plant tons of flowers and herbs. The herbs I actually use as Christmas gifts. I turn them into oils and vinegars. I also just love puttering around my garden and yard. I find it relaxing and satisfying

I would love to do more to my interior. I know how I would like it, it just a matter of having the money to do it. Everyone says I have a flare for making a house feel homey, but it still isn't what I want it to be. I tend to lean towards the country side, so there's still a ways to go.

Goals

Before I die I want to get my law degree. I have a love of the law and know so much about it. I want to practice in Family Law and be of the "Good Lawyers" who actually help people. I promised a good friend of mine that I would do it. He passed away suddenly a few years ago and I won't let him down, now it's just a matter of finding the time. I know I won't be raising children all of my life, so the right time will come.

I want to raise and happy and healthy daughter. I want her to be able to come to me with any problem she has. So far so good. She can't even lie to me. She comes to me and tells me if she's lied. We have such a strong relationship and I hope it continues. Our children are our legacy!

Also I REALLY want to be on the Rachael Ray show! I know it may sound silly. I think I am close. I really love her recipes and what she is doing. Call it a fantasy, but I really would love to be on her morning show!
