Being from a Christian family of 12 (6 boys & 4 girls), I attended church faithfully and loved studying the Bible. Then in 94 I was divorced, homeless & suicidal. I was an ex alcoholic and turned to gambling up my DAV disability. Oh I made sure my 3 kids got their child support checks every month. Then the rest I gambled 7 days a week at bingo halls, casinos and lotteries. Being homeless I lived in my ex's van. Drove it to my security job at a used car lot along I-10. One Saturday night while on watch I was despondent and trying to think of ways to end my life. I called my oldest brother to talk. He reminded me than out 10 kids I was the only one devoted to the Lord and to seek him. After hanging up, I fell on my knees and ask the Lord Jesus to intervene in my life and help me. The split second I said Amen a stretch llimosine was traveling west bound and lost its left rear wheel. After pulling over to the side of the freeway without causing a wreck, 4 people got out. I let them call Houston for another vehicle. While waiting I found out that they was coming from Lake Charles, La. I said Lord I hope your not gambling like me. One was a lady Baptist Preacher out of Houston, Tx and had a street ministry. I told them that when I said Amen thier wheel came off. They prayed for me. That Sunday morning I was up by 10 am and into a church.

Now I'm living in my newly built home with my youngest daughter and her 3 kids.
