About me
My name is Shelly. I spent 9 years working from home as a Microsoft field rep til I got hurt (torn achilles... but the Drs made me a new one!!!). I'm trying to come back to the working world but have restrictions that keep me from my old job. I have found some great support dealing with the medical end at a site called disaboom.com which has helped keep a positive attitude on life, and HayHouseRadio.com which has helped my spirit.

I was supposed to have help getting reestablished in the vocational area but they basically abandoned me after being no great help. In this case I got much more help resume and cover letter wise from my local One Stop (old unemployment) Office.

I just feel so alone on this hunt and even tho the One Stop people have been great I live in the #2 county for unemployment levels and the second from the last on how much those bennies pay. My disability income will be up in a few months so I can't wait on the vocational people any longer.

I am hoping to find some wonderful support here on my search for my next source of income. I also hope that I might be of help as well to anyone I can too.

I have done non-political troop support since shortly after 9/11. I belong to a group that wave flags every Friday at shift change to say Thank You to the crews at our base for doing hard jobs. I also head up a much smaller group that helps fill in the cracks on needs for the wounded warriors and military families.
Goals
In the world of "What I'd love to be doing" is a huge place in my heart that would love to find a way to make a living doing what my passion is and what I do best... Troop Support. The needs of the wounded warriors and military families is only going to get bigger the longer we deal with the reality going on now.

Ticks, bowling and the Power of Love

Yesterday the husband of the princess up front was out with a pump sprayer hosing down her car which is now parked out back under the little tent in the assigned parking place. I know hell had to have frozen over for her to park back here to begin with but now it’s getting fumigated? So I asked if they had ants. Here due the ground being mainly sand, when we have a lot of rain, then ants try for high and dry coverage.

Weird… the new Normal

This past few weeks have been weird, even for me. I believe Spirit has an odd sense of humor sometimes, but these past few weeks are on the top of the list. The past couple of weeks I seemed to have been stalked by turtles. You can laugh but when you really don’t see things like turtles a lot and suddenly they are everywhere, you have to look at why.
