There Are Only Two Types Of Income

There are only two types of income, but only one will allow you to Own Your Own Life! The first type of income is linear income. This type of income is what most people earn to make a living. You have to work for a living. If you don't work, you don't get paid. A school bus driver drives a school bus, a taxi cab driver drives a cab, a truck driver drives a semi truck, and they all get paid for driving. When their shift is over, they all stop getting paid. A doctor, a dentist, a lawyer, a CPA, a secretary, they all get paid for their work, but when the day ends, so does their earning power, they stop getting paid. This is how linear income works. You receive income when you work. When you stop working, your income stops.

Some MLM/Networking companies are built the same way as linear income. If you have ongoing responsibilities, or quotas to make, then the MLM/Networking company you are with, have linear income compensation plans wrote in their policy and procedures/contracts. For instance some policy and procedures/contracts read, you must have a certain amount of sales volume per month, you must attend all meetings, or you must sponsor/hire a certain amount of people per month, and so on. This type of income is linear. If you miss that mark on sponsoring/hiring in any given month, they can legally withold your bonus checks (Royalty Income). If you miss that mark on personal sales volume, they can legally withold your bonus checks (Royalty Income), if you miss a meeting, they can legally withold your bonus checks (Royalty Income). Hmm, doesn't sound like a great plan for retiring now does it? Well, not in my opinion anyway. It also does not sound like a plan that you can Own Your Own Life! Linear income will never allow you to Own Your Own Life.

The second type of income is Royalty Income. Royalty income can be best described using a few people as examples. Michael Jordan for instance, Michael collects a Royalty Check every month from Nike for all Air Jordan related sales. Michael can be on a 6 month vacation and still earn money. Lisa Presley collects a Royalty Check every month from her fathers efforts when he was alive. Lisa can be shopping in all the swank Beverly Hill shops and still earn money. J.K. Rowling, the Author of the Harry Potter book series, is earning a Royalty Check every month from her publishing company for the work she did once. She never has to write another book. She makes money while she sleeps! This is called Royalty Income. Some know it as residual income, passive or recurring income.

You may be saying, but I can't jump like Michael Jordan, and I sure don't have a father who created songs or sings, and I am not an Author. Instead of focusing on what your not, or what you can't do, focus on what you are and what you can do. There is good news for people with little or no talent! There is hope!
