Hey Shannon I use my cell for personal use and had the ph co. change my home phone number and I do not give that number out! It didn't cost extra to do that.

Awesome. Thanks for the info... I have a friend that is doing this and she has been doing it since 2006, but she doesnt remember the initial startup process very well. She works about 10-15 hours a week and makes @ $300, but she also only does 1 type of WAHJ which is LiveOps. Thanks again... keep you updated.

Hi Shannon. It has to be a landline, corded phone, with no call waiting, caller ID, etc. They do check the line, so if it doesn't meet the requirement, then it might be a problem. Otherwise, I am not completely sure if when people call in for you if it causes problems. I have heard it does, but I have a seperate line, so I cannot say with certaintly. Anyway, congratulations!

Hi Shan, I'm not sure whether your question was about ACDdirect or LO. You have to have a line strictly for business, with no options (e.g. call waiting, voicemail) With ACD you're taking calls for pledge drives. I took the training class but opted out of working for them because I had only started with LO the week before and it was too much on my plate at the time. LO is good so far. I don't work them much, only an hour during the day and in the evenings when I can stay up late, after my family is in bed. My 2-yr-old is very loud so there's no way I can be on the phone if he's around or awake! Background noise is absolutely not allowed and can cause your account to become disabled if you're audited and noise is heard, kids, tv, dog barking, etc.

I've seen people ask that before and I would think so. As long as you don't have caller waiting on it and it's only being used for that from now on I would guess it's fine.

You do need to have a separate line whether it's your existing line that you only use for this or getting a new one that's basic and has no extra features. You can't have call waiting on the line so no one can call when you're on with a customer. My line is only 16.00+taxes per month. Some people posted on here about going on ebay for a corded telephone w/headset. I just went to Best Buy. I spent more than probably needed but will have the phone for a long time even if I am not doing this anymore.

Uh huh...just do what it takes. You can have any number you want to have. I can live in Virginia and have a number thats from another state. Maybe I want my privacy and I dont want nobody to know my exact location... :-) Privacy is a RIGHT not an OPTION

That is great that you are an Official COurt Reporter. I just started last semester and they stated that it is a 2 Year class. I am not at speed level yet, because I am still taking my theory classes.

I am working towards my degree in court reporting. Are u able to find work with that degree? ACD Direct you will take calls for certain things, it is really easy. U get paid by per minute. I think start off might be .23 a minute. But the more calls u take the more you will be paid on a monthly basis.
